I recently resurrected my old turntable and have been listening to some of my old vinyl albums. One of my favourites was (is) Crises by Mike Oldfield – so I decided to model the album cover…
There’s a lot more than this single image, but this one most closely replicates the album cover.

Based on a “Creative Shrimp” tutorial, these paint splashes use metaballs, particle systems, “quick smoke”,and several different force fields to create the shapes. Reflective materials make it look “liquidy”.
